Who would have been the perfect actor to cast as Claude, the invisible man?

Who, exactly.

Christopher Eccleston - already one of the biggest stars in the United Kingdom, appearing in film, stage, and television - was a major and popular casting choice. As Claude, he played a man who would not only teach Peter Petrelli how to hone is power and prepare for the future, but we also learned a little bit about the past of the Company and Noah Bennet as well. After all, Claude was once HRG's partner in the organization.

To many fans, prior to this role, Eccleston was well loved as the ninth incarnation of the BBC's Doctor Who. Thanks in part to Eccleston's take in the role, the new show was an immediate success, even though he left after only one season.

Eccleston took 37% of the vote, beating such other big names as George Takei (who came in second), Malcolm McDowell, and Stan Lee. (He was also more popular than Eric Roberts, proving that the Doctor will always beat the Master).

We hope Eccleston returns to the show, because he was fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And you know what? So was Claude.
